SH 82 / Smith Way Intersection Feasibility Study - Pitkin County

Joe conducted a feasibility study to determine improvements to correct an accident problem at the intersection.  The recommended improvements for the intersection were designed based on CDOT’s budget limitations. Elements of the study included data collection, analysis of traffic volume and accident data, development of alternative intersection treatments, a public meeting, and report preparation. Alternatives analyzed included geometric improvements, signalization, and a roundabout.
